Dr. Stacey D. White (formerly Stacey White Kinney) is a licensed marriage & family therapist who specializes in individual and family therapy and child custody issues. She maintains a private practice in Newport Beach, CA. With over 30 years of experience working with families in Orange County, CA, Dr. White currently interacts with a broad spectrum of clients. Her areas of expertise include child sexual abuse, trauma, domestic violence, divorce/separation, infertility and child custody issues. She earned her PsyD from California Southern University; her MS in Clinical Psychology from California State University Fullerton; and her BA in Liberal Studies from University of California Santa Barbara.
Dr. White's therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback that aid clients in effectively addressing personal life challenges. She integrates complementary techniques to offer a personalized approach that is tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth that they are committed to accomplishing. Dr. White is an EMDRIA approved consultant/EMDR certified therapist.
Before starting her private practice, Dr. White worked with juvenile courts providing therapy to victims of sexual abuse and their families for UCI Medical Center's FOCUS program and as a social worker with Orange County Children & Family Services. She served as clinical director at the Mariposa Family Center in Orange, supervising marriage and family therapists, interns and trainees and overseeing the Women's Substance Abuse and Family Counseling Programs. In addition, she taught exam preparation classes for the PASS System preparing interns for the marriage & family therapist licensing exams.
Child Custody Evaluator
Dr. White has completed all of the requirements set forth in Family Code Sections 1815, 1816 and 3111 and CA Rules of Court 5.225 and 5.230 to perform child custody evaluations and is on the Family Court Panel for Orange County Superior Court..
